Preparation & Fermentation

Actini Group tanks and fermenters are designed to meet the most stringent requirements of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. They combine performance, safety, and compliance with the regulatory standards of your sector.

What is a tank?

A tank is a large-capacity container designed to hold and store liquids, gases, or solids. It is usually made of stainless steel or another durable material. It can also be used to mix or process products in an industrial environment.
Depending on its use, a tank can be fixed or mobile, open or closed. It can also be equipped with agitators, sensors, and jackets for heating or cooling. Automatic cleaning devices (CIP/SIP) can also be integrated.

In industry, tanks play an essential role in production, formulation, storage, and distribution processes. They ensure the safety, cleanliness, traceability, and quality of the products handled.

Actini Group tanks:

Actini Group tanks are custom-designed industrial equipment. They are mainly intended for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, chemical, and energy sectors. Each Actini Group tank is custom-designed to meet your requirements, with a capacity defined according to your specific needs.

As a result, they enable:

  • The storage of liquids, gases, or solids under controlled conditions (temperature, pressure, hygiene)
  • The preparation, formulation, or mixing of products (e.g., raw materials + additives), ensuring homogeneity thanks to agitation systems or heating/cooling jackets
  • The transfer, filtration, or packaging of products in the production line, ensuring traceability, compliance, and cleanliness (in particular via CIP/SIP systems)

Finally, Actini Group tanks can be fully adapted to industrial constraints.

In an industrial context, these tanks are not simply reservoirs but key elements in a production process.
They not only ensure storage but also the preparation, handling, and traceability of products in a compliant and efficient manner.

What is a fermenter bioreactor?

A fermenter or bioreactor is industrial or laboratory equipment used to culture microorganisms, animal cells, plant cells, or bacterial cells under controlled conditions. It is used to produce substances of interest such as proteins, enzymes, vaccines, or metabolites.

It allows the physical and chemical parameters essential for cell growth and biological production to be controlled. These include temperature, pH, oxygenation, agitation, pressure, and sterility. Fermenters/bioreactors are generally equipped with sensors and automated control systems to ensure the stability of the environment and the reproducibility of results.

In short, a fermenter or bioreactor is a smart tank dedicated to controlled biological culture and production. It is used in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, and research to transform living matter into high value-added products.

Actini Group offers three types of fermenters, each suited to different capacities: autoclavable fermenters (2 to 8 liters), laboratory fermenters (20 to 40 liters), and industrial fermenters (100 liters and above).
