What is the purpose of pasteurization?

Pasteurization is a heat treatment process that involves heating a product to a sufficiently high temperature to destroy unwanted microorganisms, followed by rapid cooling. It ensures food safety and extends shelf life while preserving the taste, texture, and nutritional qualities of the product.

How does a pasteurizer work?

A pasteurizer works by heating a product to a precise temperature for a specific period, then cooling it rapidly. The product is first pumped into the equipment, where it passes through a heating system that raises its temperature to eliminate undesirable microorganisms. It is then held at this temperature for a short time to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment. Once this step is complete, the product is immediately cooled to preserve its quality, taste, and nutritional value. It can then be packaged or continue along the production line.

What is Actijoule® Technology?

Actijoule® technology is an electric heating system used in industrial equipment, such as pasteurizers. It enables rapid and highly precise heating of products, with virtually no thermal inertia. Thanks to this technology, the product reaches the desired temperature almost instantly, reducing the risk of overheating and allowing “Stop & Go” operation.

Thermal regulation is extremely precise, with an accuracy of approximately ±0.3°C, and energy efficiency is high, reaching up to 97% by minimizing energy losses. This technology is particularly well-suited for processing sensitive or difficult-to-heat products.
